Ostrich Eggs Gallery

Custom Art in Eggshells, Gourds, Wood, Jewelry, and More

Facts:  Ostrich Egg Facts: 15 centimetres (5.9 in) long, 13 centimetres (5.1 in) wide, and weigh 1.4 kilograms (3.1 lb).  They are glossy cream-coloured, with thick shells marked by small pits.  The eggs are incubated by the females by day and by the males by night.  This uses the colouration of the two sexes to escape detection of the nest, as the drab female blends in with the sand, while the black male is nearly undetectable in the night.  The incubation period is 35 to 45 days.

I was wondering where the rest of your art work is, and i was wondering if maybe you could do a carving inspired by those touched with autism. I realy admire you talent, i tried carving on regular eggs and i accidently break them all the time, ah well, next time right?

    Hello Bonnie,

I apologize for the delay in answering you. The obligations of the
current Bulgarian exhibition keep me very busy. I would certainly
consider a design “inspired by those touched with autism”. I only know a little
about this condition so I would need help in knowing how best to
    represent your thoughts.

As for the location of my art, currently the majority of the pieces are in the
Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley City, UT. Most of the
remainder are currently in Bulgaria on exhibit. A few are in my home
or at Patrick Moore Gallery in Salt Lake City.

I look forward to hearing how I might help you with your endeavors for autism.

    Sincerely,

    Brian

First off good luck with the exhibition! I can’t even begin to comprehend the stress that may cause. Thank you for concidering a piece on autism, autism is still a vauge idea though scientist are doing thier best to narrow down the field. A puzzle piece actualy is used to represent autism, one piece at a time to make a picture whole type of idea. I think it’s alot more complicated than that, kind of like trying to glue broken egg shell together from a pile on the table and the pile is made up of more than one egg shell. I don’t know if that helps, i just thought it would be something realy neat.
again best of luck with the show may it be more than you dreamed it to be.
    Bonnie
